Hi!

So I’ve just got back from having blood tests and have to wait 48hrs for results in my area due to covid.

Just over a month ago, I had a dull ache in my lower back and hips. It was pretty unbearable. So I called the gp who questioned loads of things regarding pregnancy and periods, but decided at that time I just needed to ride it out.

Two days later, I had a day of spotting old dried up blood, and the ache left me instantly.

About a week after this I started to feel so sick I would have to lie down. My boobs became really sore and heavy with tingly nipples, I’m completely exhausted, and my moods are erratic too!

I waited two weeks and thought maybe my period was coming and because I haven’t had one since being on nexplanon maybe it’s just going to be a horrendous one!

It didn’t happen! So I took a pregnancy test, it was negative.

Continued to wait for my period with symptoms just getting stronger and stronger! Still nothing!

This is when I went to the doctor and he’s sent me for bloods for pregnancy and just checking hormones in general.

I know it’s close to impossible for me to conceive, so what other reasons could there be to feel so pregnant. All my symptoms are pretty full on now and so much stronger than what I usually experience with PMS.

Another weird thing that has started to happen over the last few days, and one that’s started to worry me is that I have really bad cramps for 5/10 mins after an orgasm, even if there hasn’t been penetration. I’ve read this can also be a symptom of pregnancy, but also things like pcos and endometriosis.

The wait for these results is going to feel like a lifetime! I’m not on nexplanon as birth control, it’s more to give me a break from painful periods! I just couldn’t take it anymore. I would love to have a family so it’s stirring up all kinds of emotions for me!

Has anyone else been through similar with Nexplanon? I’ve been on it since feb and it’s been ok apart from weight gain and acne around my jaw!
