Brown discharge & a little pink blood at 5 weeks...

Hey guys, sorry to be a pain, but with this being my first pregnancy, I don’t know what is ok & what isn’t.

I’m a little confused cuz I thought that if I had any spotting, it would be around the time of my period. I get that the brown discharge I’ve spotted could have been old blood from where the embryo implanted in my womb, but pink blood is new blood, right? So why am I now getting that? It’s not a lot. I just had some noticeable light pink blood on the toilet roll after my bath last night with some tiny bits of stringy brown discharge, which I am getting again today, without the pink blood.

I’m not having bad cramps. Just the usual very mild cramps I’ve been having since two days before my period was due. I’ve done 9 home pregnancy tests, all of which say I’m pregnant, & I’m a week & 3 days late today.

I was having some sharp pains to the left of my abdomen a few nights ago, & a couple of times since then, but nothing overly painful. I didn’t feel the need to reach for the paracetamol. But it wasn’t nice. I just want to know if this is normal?

I guess if the blood turns red & has clots, & if I start getting really bad cramps, that’s something to worry about? I think I’m just overly scared because this is all so new to me. I’m terrified of miscarrying, & I’ve done nothing but stress since I found out, because it wasn’t planned. But I just wanna know if it’s normal to still get fresh blood at 5 weeks, & if the cramps are normal? I expect they’re growing pains, right?

I hate this so much. It’s the not knowing. I go for blood tests next Thursday, & then they’re going to send me for an early scan due to the fact I was having bad shoulder pain on Sunday. So yeah, I’m nervous as hell! Any advice would be great. Is there anything I can do that will lower my chances of miscarrying?

Hi i have gone through IVF and I'm currently 22 days past 5 day transfer, I got a positive pregnancy test on 7th December but 2 days ago I started spotting not much at all just on the toilet paper after I go. I also have mild cramping but it's similar to what I was experiencing shortly after transfer.
Can any one help, I feel like I'm going insane and I can't get a scan until beginning of December!
