1 heartbeat at 5w6 days but convinced twins?

Is this possible?

Had a scan at 5 week 6 days and confirmed pregnancy and babies heartbeat.

This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if my symptoms are super extreme but I would class them as debilitating and only getting worse!!!!

Anyway is there a chance I could have twins?

I'm 9 weeks 5 today and I have what looks like a bump and yes I know it's probably bloating but I've lost loads of weight from constant vomiting but my stomach is obviously big and now myself and my partner are like 🧐🧐🧐!!! He had taken pics and I'm like 😱 none of my jeans fit either.

Anyone had similar?

I think it’s unlikely as the scan would confirm 1 sac with 2 babies or 2 separate sacs. I was so bloated up til 9-10 weeks before it calmed down

Haven’t you got this? That can happen regardless of having a singleton or twin pregnancy.

I'm having twins and it was very visible there was 2 at 6+1 weeks

I thought I was having twins every time! 3 singletons though.

I was severely bloated (looked way more pregnant than I was) and was really sick al day and night. Still just one baby ;)

I think lots of people think this! I did! My first was fine but my second pregnancy was as sick as a dog. The nausea started before a positive test.

Just sounds like a normal pregnancy bloating/symptoms to me! X

I was absolutely convinced this time I was preg with twins (second baby I’m 19 weeks now). The nausea started before I got a positive test and I developed hyperemesis gravidarum - could you be getting that?

Mine is a single pregnancy, and this pregnancy has been shite so far!

I've had zero symptoms with my twins - no sickness no nausea nothing so extreme symptoms are also not a reliable indicator of multiples I'm afraid

Ultra sound in 2 weeks, classic twin conspiracy person. My mum is a twin and grandmother and her brothers are triplets so I have this internal vibe. 1 or 2 I'm happy ❤️

Can you just imagine it it was 2 in one sac though I will deffo report back!!!

And yes looked into hypermesis most likely have this - the joys!!!!!!

I had less sickness and bloating with my twins than with my singleton.

Just bear in mind that twins that share a sac and placenta are Incredibly high risk and I've known people be advised to terminate their pregnancy with this kind of twins
