We had a private gender scan at 16w and we were told we were expecting a little girl! However, the more I look at the scan, the more I think the three little lines that she interpreted to be a girl are actually little toes? The baby had their legs crossed (kneecaps are the two circles to the top and to the right, and the right leg looks like it follows down diagonally to the left and ends with the foot?). Perhaps I’m just overthinking and should accept the three lines as evidence, as I can literally only see three lines so my theory would mean I can only see three toes 😂 I'm a new user so can't attach a photo to this post but I wondered whether anyone had any experience or advice for this? The sonographer struggled to get to the bum area due to the crossed legs but once she got there immediately confirmed a little girl so my oftener is telling me to trust her experience!

Well, it's either a boy or a girl. You'll have a scan at 20 weeks that may clarify thing... or not.

Go with the flow.

I’d imagine the sonographer knows what to look for and would know if it was toes. You can get a second opinion at 20 weeks if you wish

You’ll find out in a few weeks at your anomaly scan.
