Early pregnancy and feel terrible!

Hello,

I'm only 4:2 and since yesterday feel absolutely awful. I feel like I've got an extreme hangover: dull headache, aching joints, shivers down my legs, lethargic and nauseous. My dd is 13 months and I did not feel like this with her... I barely had any morning sickness the whole way through.

Surely it's too early to feel this bad?! I keep thinking that maybe something is wrong (I had an early mc 3 months ago).

Has anyone had similar and if so, did it settle down as hormones did their thing and the pregnancy established? All I want to do is eat beige food which is not how I was with dd, with her I was full of fruit and veg from the start.

Any thoughts welcome..! Maybe I'm just getting ill coincidentally?!

Hey there congrats on your new pregnancy ❤️ And sorry for you loss ! I actually put up a post last week about how bad I’m feeling too !!! I’m now 9 but have been feeling terrible since week 3 all the same things are you I asked my mind wife as I was concerned same as you never had this with my last pregnancy and she said usually feeling so terrible is a sign that a pregnancy is progressing well ! I mean she probs told that just to make me feel better but I got scanned at 8 weeks after a bleed and baby was looking great ! Please know I totally understand what your going threw ! And as much as I don’t want you feeling crappy I’m glad I’m not the only one ! It can feel so lonely !!! Xxxxxx

I had terrible headaches in the first few weeks after BFP and felt pretty rubbish up until about 10 weeks. It does pass but it’s not nice at all at the time.

It sounds like you’ve got flu type symptoms , so perhaps you are coming down with something.

Thank you so much for your replies. @Babyjune21 congratulations on your pregnancy too and solidarity with the feeling terrible! It really is isolating sat here feeling so rotten. And really hard to get the energy to do the usual jobs after dd had gone to bed. It's good to know that your midwife said that and I do remember moaning to DH that I didn't have enough symptoms with dd so I clearly can't win with myself. Really hope you start to feel a bit better soon.

@maloney123 thank you, the headache really is grim and I think that makes everything feel worse. Good to know you're went eventually. I do get bad headaches before AF so was worrying about that too.

@FippertyGibbett yes, it was the aching legs and shivers that made me worry about that but those have gone for now, thank goodness.

Same!

My DD is 12 months old and I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant.

I had no sickness or anything with DD, this time round everything is an effort, I ache, I'm tired, I feel sick etc.

Good luck! And fingers crossed 2nd trimester will be kinder to us x

I got my BFP yesterday @glowingtwig
First time being pregnant, so really don't know what to expect or how my body will react.
But I've felt awful all day today. The headaches/ dizziness as you describe. Tried to go out and get some fresh air, thinking it would help but I've ended up on the sofa all day.
I'm only 3+6 so still very early days

LG101 · 14/11/2020 19:47

My sickness started this early and is an indication of HG so if you start being sick and more than 3/4 times a day speak to your doctor

Inthesky42 · 15/11/2020 09:19

Hey I'm 4+4 and also having all day headaches, dizzy spells, keep burping (I never burp!) I defo feel worse than I did with DS (10.5months) and its pretty tough feeling this crappy when you can't just lay on the sofa!! I hear its a good sign things are progressing so I'm trying to keep that in mind!
