Help! I'm 6 wks into my 3rd Pg. I had two mc before my two children so I'm well aware of all the things that go wrong. I've been really confident so far and I've felt so rotten and even have milk! but this morning I've had some bleeding. Only a tiny bit but it was red.

I'm not asking for advice. I know it can mean anything. Loads of you will tell me you had bleeding and it was OK, others will have bad news. In my expereince for me it has always been bad news. I just felt I had to share this with someone. Having had two problem free pg I hoped I was beyond all this now but obviously not.

I've not even spoken to my MW yet so I don't know if its worth ringing now. Its too early for a heartbeat on a scan isn't it (I'll be 7wks on Friday). If I am going to loose this baby then I will cope but its the not knowing either way which really gets me down. Just wish there was something I could do.

Hi Ghosty, Monkey - My EDD is 14th June but DS was 5 weeks early (day we moved house! or rather planned to) and DD was 2 weeks early, although of course things could follow a different pattern this time. Speaking of patterns, was talking about delivery with DH last night (yes I dared to think this far ahead ) and thinking about the maths. DS was 3.5 hrs, DD was 1hr 20 mins. Hmmm the pattern is scarey. Guess it may be another home birth. DS nearly arrived at the Cat & Fiddle (anyone know Derbyshire?) so took no chances with DD. DH says I'm being daft and it might not be the same. I'm not bothered. As I pointed out its not be who is in danger of missing it! Ghosty when are you due?

Hi Katherine - I have just had it all confirmed by the Doctor and am officially 6 weeks now - EDD 28th May - which confuses me as I thought you were ahead of me but you seem to be due later??

About your 'delivery' - I love the story of how my nephew was born! My SIL had an 8 hour labour with her DD1, a 4.5 hour labour (home-birth) with DD2 and then a 45 minute (from first contraction) labour with her DS! The midwife didn't have time to get there and my DB was putting the two DDs into a friend's car when he heard my SIL shouting, well swearing at the top of her voice. DB ran into the bathroom to find SIL sitting on the floor holding the baby in her arms! She had had to jump out of the bath as she felt her waters pop and realised that the baby was coming there and then! She did it all herself and had to hook the cord away as it was round his neck and DB had to tie the cord with a shoe lace!
No chance of that ever happening to me - I had a three day labour followed by a c-section with DS!!

Hi Ghosty - funny you should say that. Last night I was lying in bed trying to work out what stage I'd be at various events and simply couldn't get it to add up. Not sure where I got 14th June from - some pg calandar which must be giving a lot of mums2b a bit of a shock!

Anyway I found another calander and redid it - it gave me a EDD of 16th May. Crumbs that means if this one comes early it could arrive on my birthday (April 29th) whcih strikes a cord actually as my very first pg was due on my birthday.

Anyway still got odd bits of discharge which is scaring me silly but trying to feel positive.

Congratulations on your own news. Looks like we will be running neck and neck (not that I'm implying its a race or anything ) How are you feeling?

Katherine - am going to start a new thread called 'Anyone due mid 2003?' (kind of feel the title with mc in it is not very optimistic) See you there!
