*WARNING TMI PICS* would you worry about this bleeding at 35weeks? Bloody show?

I've been having spotting on and off for the last few weeks (I have a mild cervical erosion) but nothing very heavy- more like tinted pink or brown normal discharge.

Then on Friday I had the first picture below (the two clots), then today the spotting/bleeding has seemed a bit heavier than it has been. I spoke to my midwife about it this morning but she said not to worry unless I was literally dripping fresh blood. I haven't got any pain with it either.
Just wondering if anyone else has had the same? Is it likely just because of my erosion? I haven't DTD or done anything that could have irritated it but I understand it's sensitive in pregnancy anyway.
Does it look like it could be a bloody show? Although I am only 35+3 so seems unlikely?

This pic is also from today from another time when I felt 'wet' down below and wiped to see..

Sorry totally TMI 😬😳

Looks a bit like a show. If you're worried ring PAU tho. Keep an eye out and see if you get cramps in the next 24 hours as baby could be early.

Ron1984 · 11/11/2020 14:42

Hi I didn’t want to read and run but I’d call the midwife again or if she is unavailable check with your doctor

rainbowstardrops · 11/11/2020 15:15

That looks like it might be a bit of a show. I was 40+2 but it looked very similar. DS was born 24 hours later.
I'd ring your midwife or maternity ward and ask for advice.

Pearsapiece · 11/11/2020 15:25

Does look like show. Like pp, with dc1 baby followed soon after show. Maybe pack a hospital bag just in case

kleew1 · 11/11/2020 15:29

I had something similar, was told if i didnt have blood running down my leg i wasnt in labour (lol) was actually in pre labour, had dd 3days later at 35 weeks. I'd go get properly checked in person.

Desmondo2016 · 11/11/2020 15:33

As you are preterm you need to definitely get checked. I would phone triage now and plan on going pretty much straight in.

sarahc336 · 11/11/2020 15:36

This is what I was getting the day before I went into labour last time. Saying that though sone wen loose their plugs weeks before labour but I think phone up triage see what they say x

Fandantastic · 11/11/2020 15:59

Suprised they didn’t ask you to go in to be checked. I had the same at 35 weeks (and had my baby at 35+5) I was told after I should of been given steroids when I went in to be assessed.

Fandantastic · 11/11/2020 15:59

(As in i’d call again if I was you!)

Katnissx · 11/11/2020 16:49

Thank you for the replies. I'm going to phone triage after I've made dinner.
If I did go in though would they be able to tell if labour was imminent (so it was bloody show), or would they just give me steroids either way just in case?
Just worried about being given steroids unnecessarily if it is just my cervix playing up 🤔

I had cervical erosions but they only bled after sex and not that late in pregnancy.
Are you losing any fluid at all? It looks rather wet like my waters did when they went and it was just on the tissue. I'd definitely phone triage and get checked over.

kleew1 · 11/11/2020 20:24

Yes they should be able to tell... The blood with me was my cervix coming away i think? So they could definitely say the baby was coming. Good luck!

BrutusMcDogface · 11/11/2020 20:27

It looks like a show to me, too. I’d say you need to be checked out anyway as you’re not full term yet. Good luck!

Katnissx · 11/11/2020 20:55

Thank you, at the AAU now, been here a while waiting but finally on the monitors now! Then will have to wait to see a Dr so will see what they say.

@Katnissx i hope everything is ok, always best to get checked xx

Autumncolourlover · 11/11/2020 21:25

I'm glad you're being seen and hope you're ok.

Queenofthemadouse · 11/11/2020 22:27

Good luck op

Katnissx · 11/11/2020 22:27

Thanks for all the replies. It was just my cervix so nothing to worry about, phew! Cervix is nice and closed still 😊 glad that I did get checked though as I would have just been worrying about it at home! Will sleep well tonight now 👍

Ymlaen · 11/11/2020 22:38

Did you show them the photos? Looks more like a show than cervical erosion to me.

Autumncolourlover · 11/11/2020 22:39

That's great news! Sleep well now. You are due around my dds birthday. She was 8 days early. All mine were early. I was glad that year that all the presents were bought and the tree was up along with all the decorations. Unfortunately she had a crusty spurt on Christmas Eve and cluster fed for 10 hours. Wrapping presents while breastfeeding wasn't easy Grin at least I didn't have to cook Christmas dinner though!

Autumncolourlover · 11/11/2020 22:45

Cross post there and it reminds me: my waters went with just a leak like wee with dd1. The hospital told me it was urine and sent me home. The first contraction came 7 hours after that little leak and dd was born 23 hours after the leak. I'd lost my plug a few days earlier. I was about 37 weeks.

They really need to address the lack of believing women in midwifery/obstetrics.

Moral of the story: be prepared for imminent arrival of lo! Such an exciting timeStar

Katnissx · 12/11/2020 00:27

@Ymlaen yeah I showed them the pictures above, I was examined with a speculum and she said there was no fresh blood and my cervix was closed so she said it was from the erosion. She said a bloody show would have been more mucusy/jelly like? And that the pictures I showed her looked just like blood mixed with normal discharge. They were really nice though and said I did the right thing going in.

@Autumncolourlover oh wow that's lovely, yes I'm trying to be prepared ahead of time this year- planning to send out Christmas cards soon 🙈 oh wow, well we are fairly prepared anyway if little one does make an early appearance! Hospital bag is pretty much there 😊 I'm probably going to be totally wrong but I almost have a feeling like baby is going to be a bit early this time round. I keep being unable to sleep because I have a list of all the things left to do running through my head and I'm itching to get it all done and organised! Even my hubby says I've gone into full nest mode 🙈 I was much more casual with DS1, worked until 36 weeks and started getting things together after that point 🙈 didn't really feel the pressure with him in the same way! DS1 came at 39+5 but I was induced as my waters went at 39+4.

Katnissx · 14/11/2020 00:08

Had some more bleeding this evening that seems more like fresh blood and I think maybe more mucusy... I guess time will tell 🤔

(Sorry again for the gross pics)

Livingmagicallyagain · 14/11/2020 06:21

Hope all OK. I'd definitely go back in after that. They don't mind how often you go in! Best get checked.
