Don’t know how far along I am

Hi!
Had my implant out August 20th, got a positive test last Monday (2nd Nov). Rang the midwife Tuesday, explained I didn’t know how far along I was as I didn’t have any periods from having in implant out. She booked my in for my booking appointment on 26th but I can’t make the time she gave me so I rang on Friday and she got back to me today and left a voicemail saying she’d changed my appointment to 3rd December. When I initially rang she said she’d put 8 weeks on my notes as I don’t have a period date.
I just feel a bit brushed under the carpet, if she think I could be 8 weeks as of last week so 9 now, by the time I have my booking appointment I could be over 12 weeks.
Anyone else had this? Should I request a dating scan or just wait for my booking appointment?

I'd book in for a private scan if I were you. The minimum you'd be now is 5 weeks right? So can you book in for a scan next week? 6 weeks should be enough to give you a date but also not worry you about being to early to see anything on a scan.

A private scan isn’t possible at the minute due to furlough 😥 don’t have a lot of disposable cash with Christmas coming up xx

Di you test negative at all before 2nd November? If you didn't and first test you took was positive on 2nd Nov then you could already be nearly 12weeks

Yes. I took a test about 3/4 weeks after having my implant out, the GP told me to take a test 2 week after removal because my implant was 10 month out of date but I forgot after the 2 weeks so took one when I remembered. I took a test last week because I’d felt awful for around 10 days leading up to 2nd Nov. Lots of nausea

If you had a negative test late September then surely you won’t be more than 9/10 weeks by your booking in appointment at the start of December? That’s only a little late, most booking in appointments are at 8 weeks. At this stage the midwife only does an estimate of how far along you are anyway, you won’t really know until your dating scan.
