I have two beautiful girls and we’re expecting our 3rd baby May 2021, has anyone had a boy after 2 girls? Did you feel different or was the baby more active on the ultrasound? 3rd baby has really long legs on 12 week ultrasound.

We’re not due to find out until the start of December but I can’t help but be curious

I had the reverse, 2 boys and then a girl! My boy pregnancies were glorious and my girl pregnancy was pretty brutal. Totally different experiences.

@Whatthedoodle
I was going to post the scan picture on here but have no idea how to 😅
I really don’t know how people work out the nub theory because I just don’t get it 🤣 Xx

@Sparkle2828 if you can click on the little paper clip under the text box and see if you can upload it so we can have a look! I sent mine to the nub whisperer for £5 and the nub experts on Instagram and they both guessed correctly.. now I’m obsessed with everyone’s 12 week scans! 😂

Sparkle2828 · 11/11/2020 10:06

@Whatthedoodle Do you have to be on a laptop? I don’t have a paper clip on mine to upload 😩
Hahahaha I love that! Sounds like something I would do 😂😂😂 xx

@Sparkle2828 I only ever use my phone but not sure if it differs on other phones, mine is to the left of the ‘preview’ button under the text box!

Sparkle2828 · 11/11/2020 10:40

@Whatthedoodle How strange that the paper clip has just shown ... 🤣 Here you go... xx

I would say girl from the scan 😬
But hopefully you get your little boy OP

Highheels87 · 11/11/2020 16:45

@Sparkle2828 I’d say boy from your scan but on the skull 😬 I did the early glimpse and got the results back within 2 hours. It predicted 95% for me so it’s worth a try and a bit of fun if nothing else! Let us know if you decide to get one lol

MrsMiaWallis · 11/11/2020 16:48

My third pg was completely different to my first two (girls). I had a third girl Grin

Why? Hopefully she'll get a healthy baby Hmm
MaelyssQ · 11/11/2020 16:54

I had two boys, and was told my 3rd pregnancy was another boy. I had a late scan because the baby was breech and the consultant obstetrician did the scan. I told my sons they were getting a little brother and they were super excited. A few weeks later, my daughter arrived. The boys thought I'd swapped their baby brother for 'that girl baby.' I think scans have improved since this time though!! It wasn't routine to tell the parents the sex of the child either. All 3 pregnancies were pretty much the same, too.

Sparkle2828 · 11/11/2020 17:05

@Highheels87 I had no idea there was companies that did this online! I’ve just sent my scan image off to see what they say 👀

I will let you know xx

@MaelyssQ Oh my goodness! What a crazy time for you! Did you buy all boy things too or did you have neutral? X

I'd bought a bib saying 'baby brother' and had taken baby things to the hospital that I'd used for my other boys - mostly blue. A friend who has 3 daughters came round with a bin bag of pink frilly stuff Grin. I gave the baby brother bib to the same friend when she had her son the following year!

Don't worry, I'm leaving the thread, but just to point out that your baby dd wouldn't have spontaneously combusted if she'd worn blue baby clothes for a few weeks (or longer). Honestly this thread. Hopefully you'll have a lovely healthy baby OP.
MaelyssQ · 11/11/2020 19:20

I know she wouldn't @MrsMiaWallis I'm not a fool. I was all psyched up for a third boy, that's all I was saying. I don't have really strong feelings on boys in blue, girls in pink. Both my little boys had doll's prams and baby dolls to push around when she was born. Going anywhere with the three of them was a frigging nightmare Grin

calimommy · 11/11/2020 19:21

Haha this is exactly why I was glad to find out the gender this time. We had surprises for the first two babies and found out this one and the last one (simply because we were doing the genetic testing and it was offered as part of it). After the third boy I honestly thought this was just a formality, I had a name picked out and I was quite happy about being a boy mama for always. It took my husband and I quite a while to get used to the idea of a girl. I think it would have been a huge shock at birth. I'm not particular about pink and blue but after so many boys I didn't have many neural things anymore. I've kept lots of things for her from the boys -girls can get away with wearing any colour really and I'm not mad on pink anyway but it was nice to be able to get a few extra bits which weren't just traditional boy stuff.

calimommy · 11/11/2020 19:25

Put your knickers back on @MrsMiaWallis 😂 I think it's less to do with the colour of the clothes and more to do with what you were expecting 😂 yes they will be what they will be eventually but we all start off with something in mind, it's just human nature 🤷‍♀️

Highheels87 · 11/11/2020 19:26

@Sparkle2828 nor me until I saw someone ask about it on here a few months back. I didn’t know there was such a thing as nub and skull theory lol I still didn’t believe it until I had a private scan and then my 20 weeks scan to confirm Grin look forward to hearing what they have said to you!

Sparkle2828 · 11/11/2020 20:10

@Highheels87 It was a bit of interesting response to be honest, they emailed to ask for more pics but I won’t have anymore until Monday when I’m due my next scan. They’ve come back and said Girl, 80% chance. But they did say if I email my scan pictures over on Monday they’ve have another look free of charge.

I did join the Facebook Nub theory group and they’ve all said it’s not clear nub and there’s no clues. So I think I’ll try again Monday haha. Xx

I honestly think the 'nub theory' people are 100% full of it 😂

Highheels87 · 12/11/2020 07:09

@Sparkle2828 oh no but that’s good news that they are willing to take another look with more scan pictures come Monday. Everyone I spoke to had theirs correctly guessed and the fb nub theory all guessed correctly for me. Fingers crossed you get some favourable pictures on Monday!
