Sore throat after giving birth

I gave birth 5 days ago and I’ve had a sore throat for the last couple of days. Is this something to worry about? I’ve just read that it can be a symptom on strep A so not sure if I should be calling up postnatal to get checked out.

Congratulations!! Did you have gas and air by any chance? I found between the gas and air and my "grunting" noises whilst pushing contributed towards a sore throat for a few days after! Deffo get it checked out if you're concerned xx

I had a sore throat and jaw after using the gas & air like my life depended on it.

I moo'ed like a cow for about 9 hours, and sucked on the gas and air until the mw took it away from me. Damn right I had a sore throat and fanjo !

I didn’t use the gas and air much as it made me feel too spaced out but I was definitely mooing like a cow 😂🙈 so I suppose it’s put a strain on my throat. No other symptoms so I’m sure it’s just all the noises I was making 😂.

I had an awful sore throat after both my births. And the tendons in my neck were all over-strained too.
