Trapped wind relief?! 6 weeks pregnant

Hello! I'm 6 weeks pregnant and the last few days I've had awful trapped wind, under my ribs chest and stomach area. As soon as it passes I feel much better but keeps coming back 😰 did anyone have any natural remedies? Or anything like Rennies that are safe to take?

Thank you!

Hey I'm sorry to hear how uncomfortable you are. I was the same in both pregnancies and frantically googling stuff to help. The best thing I found was someone saying their grandmother told them to sit on the loo and gently push two fingers in just under your tummy button and rock back and forth gently. Sounds madness but did work for me a bit. That helped some of the trapped wind come out immediately. Don't sit too long though. Hope you feel better soon x

Peppermint tea can help and rennies are fine in pregnancy.

Definitely peppermint tea, in boiling water. Little sips at a time! Had the same myself whilst pregnant so you have my sympathy x

Thank you everyone for the replies :) I got some rennies and had some straight after my meal tonight and no pain! Will get some peppermint tea too :)

I’ve been taking windeze when I’ve got trapped wind. Safe to take in pregnancy apparently, I’ve had no bother so far.

Windeze are better that Rennie's for getting trapped has out, in my experience. Warning- they make you fart, so maybe don't take right before you're going to be stuck around other people!

Thank you both for the info! Haha, I'll only take them at home then 😂 though the rennies have helped prevent the wind, i will try windeze next thank you
