I am 10 weeks pregnant and having this kind of discharge ongoing for nearly a week now. I am really scared as I have previous history of spontaneous miscarriage without much bleeding. OBGYNE can't do anything until 13 weeks 😪. Does anyone had this kind of discharge and everything went ok. Or anyone has miscarried with the similar discharge started first? I don't have any cramps just little bit lower back pain though.

Hello,

No that doesnt look like a mucus plug to me, mine looked very different. It does however look like pink blood stained discharge.
Sorry to hear of your previous MC, give midwife a call or EPU on Monday if you're worried and see what they say.
Best of luck ❤️

Thank Clpx. I will wait until Monday. I have recurrent miscarriage consultant assigned who I tried to contact two weeks ago but never had any reply back just informed she is on annual leave. I have also register myself into hospital but still haven't heard anything back.so no midwife. Only GP if I have any concern. I feel gutted 😞

Even if it was, you can loose the plug and it regenerates. But no, that looks nothing like a mucus plug. It’s just a tiny bit of discharge.

Hiccupiscal · 07/11/2020 13:48

I had this kind of bleeding when I was having ectopic about the same time scale as you.

What is you pain like??
Ectopic can be life threatening

Any previous STDs, miscarriage, problems getting pregnant?

EugenesAxe · 07/11/2020 13:51

My plug was darker and a huge sheet-like smear over the toilet paper. I hope it is OK given what others have said.

YoniAndGuy · 07/11/2020 13:52

That looks pretty normal to me. Try not to worry, but just monitor it.

Sona3 · 07/11/2020 13:54

Hopefully it's not mucus plug like you have said PotteringAlong. And something else. I have checked myself for yeast infection with GP and waiting for results may be next week. But I have no other symptoms like burning, itchy or false smell.

Ps. Not trying to scare you, but I was reassured, when really I was in danger, chances are not ectopic but something you should be aware of.

Hiccupiscal · 07/11/2020 13:56

Did you have strong BFP too, or only late or light BF

N0ManJan · 07/11/2020 13:56

I had this at around 10 weeks as well and everything was fine, I’d give EPU a call on Monday.
My mucus plug was much darker and there was much more of it.

Sona3 · 07/11/2020 13:57

Hiccupiscal, I had a scan at 8 weeks and seen baby at right with heartbeats. I only have mild lower back pain. No cramps or anything. Yes previously I had two second trimester miscarriages and one blighted ovum at 7 weeks.

NOManJan, I will try to get hold of my consultant on Monday. Hope everything is going smoothly with your pregnancy now.

Hiccupiscal, I know you are trying to help and assure me. I had a clear BFP on the day I missed my period and the line got darkercafter couple of days.

Had something similar just a bit less after sex at around 11 weeks.
Now 19 weeks and all good.
Perhaps just the cervix being sensitive?

Apologies, I honestly saw your post on the general threads, took a look and thought, oh gosh, that looks like exactly what I went through. I was ignored and ignored until I forced them to see me and collapsed in EPU. If I could prevent someone going through what I did of course I would do.

Early bleeding is quite common and wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Apologies if you thought I was being out of turn, it wasn't my intention x

Sona3 · 07/11/2020 15:23

Hiccupiscal, no need to apologise as everyone here are to help! Sorry to hear what you have gone through during your ectopic pregnancy. It must be a painful 💔 experience. Trust me I can understand your worrying for me after seeing similar discharge. That's really kind of you.
But I am glad that inspite of not knowing each other so many mums here stopping by and taking there time to reply my question. At least that helps me to think positively as we never know what future holds for us.

What is the result of your pregnancy?

SnooperTrooper12345 · 06/03/2021 19:37

Even if it was. As a PP said, it regrows. You can lose it and it grows many times throughout pregnancy

SnooperTrooper12345 · 06/03/2021 19:37

Just seen this is an old post! 😂
