So I’ve always had weight issues I managed to get down to my goal of a size 12 From a 28 I couldn’t be happier but sometimes I still see myself as a size 28 this is no secret in the family.

So I’m 16+3 weeks we were Expecting twins but just one baby now so I was getting a little bigger than usual untill the loss I’ve been having let’s say very bad pregnancy sickness some days I can’t eat at all without it coming back up so naturally I’ve been loosing weight

I’ve been told I have low pap a too so a little worried about that swell

The mother in law walks

In last night ohh haven’t you done well loosing weight I was thinking you would be huge by now I know what your like for eating

Your right best start loosing that baby weight now because you will want to get rid of it right away.

I looked at her in utter shock and walked out she’s not a small lady herself but always brings up my weight I was just getting my head around the fact I’m going to be putting on weight but it’s a good thing

How does your husband deal with this?

Bailsgd · 07/11/2020 11:07

He usually tells her to stop and to have a bit more respect. This time I could hear him having a go as I walked out she’s been told so many times by so many people can’t help opening her mouth

Sounds like she’s got a lot of insecurities about herself that she’s taking out on you. Which is obviously not ok. I’d make it very clear that if that’s how she speaks to you she’s no longer welcome in your home

It is one of her business period. Whether you are a size zero or a size 32 it is none of her business and impolite to comment.

My MIL is the same and it drives me insane!!! I haven’t put much weight on at all this pregnancy, 1kg and I’m 32 weeks (I lost a fair bit in first trimester).
The other day on the phone to DH ‘has Milkshake put on weight yet? She really doesn’t want to! It’s hard to shift afterwards’
Really. Fuck off. I’m 32 weeks pregnant!! Stop being so obsessed with my weight!

Anyway, haven’t got any advice... but I understand how frustrating it is... Flowers
