Birthing ball use in pregnancy

excitedanxiousyorkshire · 04/11/2020 16:01

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and am pretty uncomfortable.
Can I bounce on my birthing ball?
I read that that can induce labour, but it feels good and eases the pelvic pain.
Any tips for using these balls outside of labour? Thanks!

Yes, I used mine all the time when I was pregnant, it was one of few places I could sit and feel comfortable, especially when I got bigger!!

Yes you can, they can help during labour but won’t induce labour.

@excitedanxiousyorkshire you don't need to bounce, try doing circles and 'figure of 8' with your hips. Or rocking your hips side to side and forwards and back. Helps my back loads!

Yes you can use it, it really won’t induce your labour
