Hiieee everyone !! I have just found out I am pregnant and this is my first time. I was about to contact my GP and found out I have to options for hospital. 1. St. Mary's Hospital and 2. Wythenshawe Hospital (Both in Manchester) I have no experience and have never visited any of them and I would like to know which one is better with maternity care ? I have read good things about Wythenshawe hospital here.

@Theeasypeasywoman I am having my first and chose Wythenshawe despite technically being classed as "out of area" (makes no sense as it is the easiest fkr me to get to!). They have been very good with me so far.

I'm having my antenatal care at St Mary's and so far the staff and all team are great. I'm 15 weeks, so only had a few appointments.

I chose St Mary’s purely because it closer to my house, closer to work for appointments and I know a few people who work there. A close friend has given birth in both St Mary’s and Wythenshawe and she said she would pick wythenshawe if she had another. They are both under the same trust now and I work for the trust so I know a little about them both. I think distance played a big factor in my choice
