Hello all,

I'm 5 weeks + 5.

I'm thinking of joining slimming world to help minimise the weight gain and hopefully teach me some good habits!

I was already 3 stone over weight Blush before I got pregnant, and the thought of having to lose 5 stone after a baby terrifies me Shock....so I'm wondering if anyone has done or is doing slimming world during their pregnancy and how are you finding it? I know weight gain is inevitable, but I don't want to have tons to lose once baby is here Sad.

Appreciate any help/thoughts!

xxxx

I’m 9 weeks and also can’t really afford to gain much during pregnancy, so when the morning sickness hopefully passes I’m going to try to stick to swimming world principles to lose a few pounds in a healthy way. Right now I can’t face anything other than beige food unfortunately and feel crap for it xx

Slimming, not swimming!!

@Floopyandtired congratulations!! When are you due?

I haven't started the morning sickness yet.... when did yours begin? Sending love your way!

I just can't deal with the thought of getting much bigger! I know it is inevitable, but just the thought of losing all that weight once baby is here is enough to start my morning sickness Grin!

Me!

I was loosely following SW pre-preg and still had just over 10lbs to go to get to target. Then fell pregnant. I'm 8+5 and unfortunately the pregnancy sickness/nausea has got me terribly so I'm only able to eat and face beige foods - I'm living on toast, pasta, bagels and peanut butter. None of which is healthy, and it actually makes me feel so bloated and sluggish....but the alternative is I wouldn't be able to eat anything! I also have to eat regularly otherwise I'm soooo queasy.

My sickness started at 5.5 weeks with a bang. I'm counting down the weeks and praying the nausea starts to ease soon... I'm so done with feeling like this! I'm sure I've really piled on pounds during my beige food phase too - as soon as I feel better I'm all over SW!!

Me! I was at target for a good couple of years but lockdown saw weight creep up ... (there wasn't much to get excited about other than food!)

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow (got my scan then, terrified!) and I really need to watch my weight before Christmas. I don't think I will be paying, just following it from my prior knowledge.

Although does anyone know what we can do differently during pregnancy? I've heard two HEAs but can't find anything online to confirm (obviously because they do want you to pay!)

MySafeSpace · 03/11/2020 19:37

@Em4815 the official guidelines say increase to 2 HEB and 2 HEA choices, that's the only difference until baby comes and then it changes again for breastfeeding etc

Oh perfect, thanks @MySafeSpace!
