If first baby was on time when did second baby come?

I’m sure this has been done to death, but I’m currently 36+1 and in excruciating pain with SPD. DS was born on his due date...is there hope that this second child is unlikely to keep me waiting past their due date?

I don't think there's any way to predict it, my first was a week early, my second was 10 says late. My third was 5 days over but induced so who knows how much longer we would have waited. Currently 34+2 and suffering from really bad SPD too so feel your pain!

Baby will arrive when they like. Dc1 was 2 days over. Dc2 was 10 days late.

Try hypno birthing to get your body and mind more relaxed so that once baby is ready your body responds and goes in to labour. I whish I had known sooner. Dc4 was a hypno baby and was by far the easiest.

I did hypnobirthing with my first and luckily had a very quick and positive experience. My body very much seemed to be more in tune with labouring than it is with being pregnant. Sorry to hear you’re also suffering @Hatepickinganame. I had it with my first but this time it’s so much worse and seems to be ramping up by the day. I just can’t imagine being able to walk soon?! Sounds dramatic but it really is taking me by surprise.

Go to pelvic partnership website. Find a practitioner near you who can do hands on manipulation. Serious game changer (though not sure what happens now with lockdown, obvs).

1st baby - 39+4
2nd baby - 37+2 (much to my surprise!)

Both of my children were born on their due dates! Which surprised us as with my 2nd I was in labour for 28hrs! Currently pregnant with 3rd which everyone keeps telling me is a wild card so who knows when she'll arrive.

Well the last couple of replies give me some hope! Anyone else?!

My first baby came Naturally at 36 weeks and second at 39 weeks via induction. Sorry! I don’t think there’s any particular pattern to it. Hopefully your little one doesn’t keep you waiting too long!

Ok so there’s clearly no trend . Have had a better SPD day today so feeling a bit more positive and able to entertain a 40+10 baby!

Holding out hope that the third doesn't hold on as long.
