High HCG levels and spotting in early pregnancy

Hi,

I'm pregnant for the 5th time in 2 years, I've lost my 4 previous pregnancies around week 6. I have APS and am on aspirin, clexane, Progesterone suppositories.

I started having some light spotting around 5w, it's brown in colour and I was advised to double the cyclogest dose and use rectally. But my hcg levels were tested at just over 5w and they were 19,400 which is really high- I was initially relieved until I googled it and saw increase risk of genetic abnormalities or molar pregnancy. Does anyone have any experience of having high hcg levels and if it was ok?
I know I need hcg tested again to see if it's increasing but it's fallen on the weekend so can't until next week.

I'm so worried I'm going to lose this one too 😞 Thanks for any info x

I had a high hcg level with my second child, it was 96,000 at 6 and a half weeks! I also had some bleeding at 11 weeks but thankfully all was fine and I had a healthy baby girl :). I remember googling about high hcg levels and I read something about high hcg levels were common if you had been pregnant quite recently. That was my 3rd pregnancy within 12 months so that seems to fit and sounds like it does for you.
I’m sure everything is fine but I understand the worry.
