Guys I literally just found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant on my first. I am so excited. But I am also so worried as I had a crick in my neck the last two weeks and had been taking anti inflammatories some days and solpadol as I was in agony and that was my prescription.

Now I am sooooo worried that this is going to have an effect on baby or make me miscarry. How can you avoid these scary thoughts 😞

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

There’s no placenta yet so baby will be ok

I was on tramadol when I first found out I was pregnant

He’s now 5 and healthy as a horse

Thank you so much for your reply youve already made me feel better ❤️ I am just worrying that it may have an effect further down the line but it's just in my nature to worry ugh I wish it wasn't!

Worrying about nothing, far too early for it to matter or make any difference.

I was on Solpadol all the way through my pregnancies (with permission from GP and consultant).
Both DS 4 and 2 currently running around in front of me now pretending to be squids. I would say they are entirely normal!

Thanks so much for these replies ladies I can't express how much ye are reassuring me.

I googled it and read somewhere that anti inflammatories around can increase the risk of miscarriage a lot and I am just driving myself crazy already. I just wish that didn't happen so I could continue and just be happy. It's cos it's my first too and I'm beyond clueless as what to expect!

Talk to your midwife, not randoms on the internet.

I don't have a midwife yet. I literally found out this morning. It's reassuring to hear or other people's experiences with it. I will be talking to the doctor about it but I won't be seeing the doctor till next week
