Had IVF but scan and transfer dates don’t match

We had a FET which should put me at 6+2. I had some bleeding over the weekend and have been seen at EPU this morning. There is a pregnancy in the uterus, but it’s only measuring 5 weeks. There was no heartbeat (but of course that would be normal at 5/6 weeks).

Is it common for scan dates to give a different gestation than my known dates from when we had IVF? Or is it more likely that the pregnancy has stopped growing and it’s a MMC?

When I had a scan at 6 weeks it measured 5 when I had one again at 7 it measured 7 exactly. Good luck xx

I had one scan that dated me 6 weeks, and exactly a week later a second scan dated me 8 weeks. It's really hard to accurately date a pregnancy so early on.
