Concerned about the use of disinfectants during pregnancy

Hello ladies,
I’m about to enter week 7. For the past few weeks I have been helping out at a daycare and one of my tasks has been to disinfect all the tables and doorknobs there once a day. This takes maybe 10 minutes. I always used my face mask while doing that. Back at home I’ve always used some disinfectant wipes to clean my phone from any germs and viruses I may have brought home from the childcare (no face mask). This only takes a few minutes or less. I’ve also used isopropyl alcohol twice to clean something after I got home which is a very strong disinfectant! Now I’m super worried I may have hurt my baby since the first few weeks are very crucial for organ development Sad I was so concerned about catching COVID that I didn’t worry about the chemicals. This all happened in week 5 and 6. From now on I will be more careful! Please ease my mind. On the internet I can’t find any good information, only that occupational long term use (e.g. someone working in a nail studio) may cause congenital anomalies. I hope one or twice a day for two weeks is not enough to cause any harm Confused

You will be fine. Baby will be fine.

40 years ago people wouldn't even have had a pregnancy confirmed at 7 weeks so many people would have had far more exposure to nastier chemicals.

Just wear gloves when dealing with any chemicals of concern. Well ventilated environment if STELthrough inhalation

Has work carried out a pregnancy risk assessment? What does the coshh assessment say?

I have been using disinfectants, and am still using isopropyl alcohol to clean phone etc. They use and have these disinfectants in antenatal care departments and on the antenatal ward. Also I have to do self injecting while pregnant and they give you isopropyl alcohol skin wipes to use. I have wondered about it, and all the sanitiser which they make you use when you have any antenatal visit. I assume they have decided it is all fine. I think everyone will have been doing similar recently! I really wouldn't worry.
