Constant urge to pee and pain!

Hi everyone..I’m almost 31 weeks pregnant and I’ve had the urge to pee constantly from Saturday night (almost 5 days ago now). It never leaves and feels like my bladder is constantly full, and I’m getting no relief. I’ve been at the maternity assessment unit twice, I’ve been on antibiotics but they’ve done nothing so it’s not an infection that’s the problem. I’ve also been taking cystitis powders, and not sure they’re doing much. It’s worse when I stand up and gets slightly better when I lie or sit, though with 2 other children I can’t be sitting or lying down all day! It’s got the the point where I can’t go anywhere or do anything with the children cos I’m in constant pain and need to go to the toilet every few minutes. I’m thinking now it’s the way the baby is lying and I’m scared it will just get worse over the next 9 weeks. Has anyone else had this and has anything relieved it? I am desperate. Thanks in advance.

I was under the impression that you shouldn’t take the cystitis sachets at the same time as the antibiotics but I might be totally wrong.

I’ve felt like I can’t empty my bladder since 28 weeks. Numerous urine tests (lab, not just dips) show nothing wrong, it’s just one of those really horrible things.

Could be baby putting a lot of pressure on your bladder

I’ve had days like that too where I am having the urge to wee every 20 Mins. My urine tests have all been fine though when the midwives check, I just put it down to an annoying pregnancy thing.

Sometimes antibiotics don’t manage to treat an infection. Do ask to submit a fresh urine sample to check. Watch out for other symptoms of infection like temp or feeling v unwell. Check with midwife and dr.
