I saw my baby today

I am currently ten and half weeks pregnant. I've had two miscarriages prior to this and this is the furthest I've been.

I had to have an urgent kidney scan due to severe pain around my right kidney. They scanned my kidneys with a full bladder and without. At the end, I told them I was pregnant and asked if they could see anything. The radiologist stated very quickly "yes, we saw it wriggling around, would you like to see?"

She very kindly scanned my abdomen and there it was. I burst in to tears as I was so happy. I've been so convinced something was wrong. According to the radiologist, my uterus was pressing on my right urethra.

I still feel very overwhelmed and I'm looking forward to my next scan on the 3rd of November.

I'm 12 weeks today and also had really bad right kidney pain and got to see at 9 weeks when I had a scan of my kidneys too! Did you get to find out what was causing the pain?

My 12 week scan is in 4 days. Good luck for your scan in November xx

Thank you all. I'm hoping it will help me to relax more.

@ShalomToYouJackie, they said my uterus was pressing up against my right urethra. The pain was absolutely dreadful but at least I know now.

I had exactly the same but later on in the pregnancy and the pain was horrendous. I was hospitalised for a couple of days and given painkillers and then things moved around and it all stopped.
