Hi all,

Apologies for sounding crazy.. but here we go 😂

So I fell pregnant last month, but sadly it ended in what I assumed was a chemical pregnancy.. I had positive tests but ended up bleeding and didn't test any more following this as I couldn't stand the heartbreak.

I'm now cycle day 20 in my bed cycle, been testing with OPK's since day 10 but not had any indication of a peak at all, all of my tests are stating the same colour and darkness. It's really confusing..

DP and I haven't dtd very much this cycle due to work etc, and I was waiting for my fertile window.. but the positive OPK just hasn't come yet ☹️🤷‍♀️
We DTD 15th and 18th Oct (this month) but obviously that wasn't long ago...

I had a really strange, light bleed on 16th October, only visible on toilet paper, and it was a tinyyyy amount - like a paper cut.

Today, I took a FRER as I wanted to rule out possibly still being pregnant. I know that it isn't common after a bleed (which I thought was a chemical) but also isn't unheard of..

Well this is the result I got. I feel like I can see a hint of / beginning of a line on these, but I really am not sure.

Any guidance at this point would be fab, I'm so confused and feeling so deflated.

Firstly, I'm sorry about your chemical pregnancy.

Cycles can be irregular after MC, even v early MC/chemicals.

I can see the line you are talking about. I'd keep testing every 2 days using FMU. If that line gets stronger, then I'd say it's a new pregnancy. If it remains like that or disappears then it may be the remaining hcg from the chemical?

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you so much for replying - I'm feeling so alone right now 😔

I will keep testing. I literally didn't even think I could be potentially pregnant this month. I don't feel like I have DTD enough, it doesn't make sense but I'd be absolutely OVER THE MOON!!! if it was. What a miracle 💫

I will test again in 2/3 days and see what happens from there. I thought it could be left over hormones too. 😔🤷‍♀️

IME FR tests have quite an obvious indent line and it makes it easy to get excited about a line that isn’t really there. I would leave it another week before testing again. If it’s not an obviously strong positive at that stage, you aren’t pregnant. I think madness lies in testing very frequently.

@PolarBearStrength hi, thanks for commenting :)
I actually haven't tested in almost a month following unfortunately having had (or what I believe was) a chemical pregnancy.
I couldn't bear the heartache..

I have only tested this morning after wondering why I haven't yet ovulated, just to see.. maybe it's left over pregnancy hormone. I don't know 🤷‍♀️

Sorry OP that just looks like the indent line to me

cocobrownie · 19/10/2020 15:18

@ivfbeenbusy it's okay don't worry - I thought it probably will be.
It's just that I had moment this morning where I thought, oh.. maybe it could be pregnancy?

I think personally it's just that I'm late to ovulate!

Oneandabean · 19/10/2020 21:25

I would say definitely Negative sorry OP

cocobrownie · 19/10/2020 21:53

@GanderousGoose that's okay, thanks so much for commenting ☺️ I wasn't expecting a positive at all anyway, and not sure it would have been even entirely possible 😆

Xx

I thinknits the indent line and you may just be having a strange cycle after a chemical pregnancy sorry xx
