I had a missed call from the hospital today from the scan midwife. I'm worried that something might be wrong with baby. Has any one else had this before and was it bad news it's my rainbow after 9 losses 😭😭

It could be anything OP - don’t torture yourself imagining the worst. Keep trying them til you get through and they can explain what it was.

It’s unlikely to be an issue with the scan if they didn’t say something to you at the time so try not to worry (I know it’s hard!) Flowers

Sorry to hear about your losses Flowers

It’s very unlikely to be bad news. If you’ve already had the scan, they won’t have picked up anything new they didn’t tell you at the scan. If you haven’t yet had it, they won’t know if anything is wrong!

It’s most likely they’re calling to confirm appt / ask if you’ve got Covid symptoms / tell you about the restrictions and remind you not to bring your partner etc etc

Try not to worry, easier said than done

i had 4 missed calls and my OH had one straight after my booking appt, was in absolute panic...tried to call back, either rang out or they said MW was busy. eventually got a lovely girl who said i'll get the message from your MW, im on shift til9pm, call me back anytime and i'll speak to you. Turned out theyd just forgotten to ask me a question about where our parents were from for one of the blood tests. i was in such a state, but was just a totally fine reason for her chasing me up - think she just called 4 times in quick succession (whilst i was driving back from appt!) cos she hadn't started her next appt and was back to back with them all day! sure there is probably a really simple reason like some info they didnt get, or something they want to mention like above says, covid restrictions or something. sure everything will be fine xx

I agree, it's most likely to be changing an appointment or something like telling you to bring urine with you to every midwife appointment (that's the phone call I got around that time!)

I'm sure they will call again soon and you will find out ... but effectively the longer they make you wait, the less likely it is to be something bad because they would make every effort to contact you if it was, not just try once and forget it.

Do you have a scan booked soon? My hospital rang to explain the new rules with dads coming to appointments and to get me to download track and trace before the appointment. It could be that?
