Want to get my friends 2.5 year old a present for when baby comes. Ideas please?

I would like to get my friends little boy (he’s 2.5) a present aswell as the new baby as is a lot of change for him :).

My 2.5 year old loves any kind of digger / dumper truck / rubbish truck toy; play doh with cutters/moulds; puzzles.

I'd suggest anything not too noisy or needing too much help from the mum/dad. I completely agree with Nimsay1's suggestions, or would also suggest some colouring or jigsaws. My Cousin just had another little baby and I bought their 2.5 year old boy a crayola mess free colouring set (it contains felt tip pens that only colour on the paper provided so prevents any rogue drawing on walls lol) and 2 little jigsaws. All Paw Patrol themed as chosen by my Paw Patrol mad 2.5 year old daughter lol.

A nice big book that he can look at with his mum while she's feeding the baby?

My friend did that so her toddler didn't feel sidelined.
