Scan anxiety after miscarriages - 12w scan later today

I’m 12 weeks tomorrow and have had two miscarriages this year (and one successful pregnancy 3 years ago). I’ve had a few bleeds with this pregnancy and three early scans (6w, 7w and 10w) which looked fine except for two sub chorionic haematomas.
Anxiety is through the roof right now Sad

The bleeding plus previous losses make it hard to believe this pregnancy will continue. I’m obsessing that it’s a mmc this time. Would love a hand hold or any reassuring words - scan is today at 2pm.

Ah love it's really hard Flowers There is no point in reassuring you as you simply need to live through the minutes between now and the scan. I had a dc after several miscarriages and you worry throughout, I was convinced several times that I had lost the baby but I hadn't. You've been very strong going through this twice and will continue to be strong whatever the result today. Will be thinking of you, please come back to update Flowers

Thank you @Iggi999

Do you have far to travel to get to the scanning place?
What do you have already - ds or dd?

Diorissimo1985 · 13/10/2020 10:31

No just a 10 min drive - weirdly wish it was more so I could set off sooner!
We have a DD already, she is nearly 3.

Ah that's a lovely age. We started trying again when ds was almost three. Had 4 mcs but got some treatment and had ds2 a couple of years later. It is a very hard road but please don't give up hope, there are so many positive stories about success after mc.

Good luck - you’ve had 2 early scans which have been fine and found a reason for the bleeding, so I think you’ll be fine although obviously can’t say for sure. Not long to wait now ☺️

Fingers crossed- really hoping all is ok x

Moo678 · 13/10/2020 15:07

Hope all was ok OP.

@Iggi999 am so pleased your DS2 arrived after such a hard time. It’s so tough isn’t it.

Back from scan it was fine - I feel like the biggest weight has been lifted, I haven’t felt like this since before the first miscarriage earlier this year.
Baby is measuring fine and was the busiest, wriggly thing ever (much busier than DD when we saw her on 12w scan!)
Thank you so much to you all for the support today x

Huge congratulations OP! All the best for a healthy pregnancy x

Aw that's lovely to hear. Measuring right with a heartbeat at 12 weeks sounds very very positive to me. I know you will continue to worry at times, but congratulations on your pregnancy Smile

Diorissimo1985 · 13/10/2020 16:02

Thank you both x
