Scotland - are partners allowed to stay after birth?

Not due until January but curious to know what the current procedure is after birth.

Completely depends on your hospital - they’re each making their own choices. Some places partners are allowed to stay for only half an hour to an hour but other places are allowing them to stay longer.

I just asked this question as I’m due to give birth this week and at the hospital I’m at, they are allowed to stay for several hours after the birth then come back for the full visiting time which is 11am-7pm 😀

I’m due next Sunday and I asked this at my last midwife appointment too. My midwife said partners can be present all through labour and they can stay for full visiting hours (11am - 8pm) but have to leave after baby’s born if outwith visiting. Not sure where abouts you are but I’m giving birth in RAH
