I'm currently 38 + 4 weeks pregnant and looking for signs of labour beginning what are other people's experiences on how you felt leading up to going into labour.

I'm having lots of pain in my pelvis and lower down that has started today and I've been having back ache for a few days on and off but apart from that I don't feel any different

I tried to symptom spot for this with both of my DC. One started with really bad cramps and show appeared an hour or so later, the other started with the waters breaking in full Hollywood style but zero pain or other symptoms. Both were very overdue and I had spent nearly 4 weeks convincing myself labour was about to start. I wish I had just relaxed and enjoyed the peace and quiet while it lasted 😂

With my DS i got induced around this time so I have no experience of going into labour naturally and I can't do any relaxing or have quiet time with a 2 year old 😂

I had my DS 18 days ago when I was 38 + 1. From what I remember I didn't have any signs in the lead up, in fact I was caught completely off guard!

My contractions started suddenly and were intense straight away, no build up, and I barely had time to register what was going on. I didn't initially believe I was in labour because it was so intense so quick. I was in labour for 5 hours overall.
