39 weeks pregnant feeling very emotional/ill/confused? Anyone else?

Has anyone else had this feeling in late pregnancy? The past 3 days I have been full of energy cleaning the house, lots of walking etc. Last night I started to feel overly emotional couldnt stop crying to my boyfriend for an hour. A few hours later I become very cold and genuinely week feeling like I had the flu. This morning I woke up feeling very headachey couldnt get off the toilet cold and hot. No energy at all feeling very weak and emotional again. Since then I have been pretty much on and off all day one min feeling ok then the next min feeling hopeless down and I'll.

I am so confused too it's such a strange feeling. I am unsure if this is normal at the end of pregnancy or I have just become run down and made myself I'll... Anyone else? Such a strange feeling

Hi Op, sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling on top form. I’m 39 weeks tomorrow, and whilst I haven’t been feeling the same flu like way, I have felt really run down all of a sudden. I’m usually quite an early bird getting up but since being on maternity I’ve been struggling to get out of bed in the morning, then after maybe a few hours of being up and about I feel like napping again (although I never can actually manage it)
I had the burst of energy around the 36 week mark and massively overdid it a few times with the cleaning but now I just feel lethargic all the time.
I’ve also had the strange emotional bursts as well which I’m attributing to the pregnancy (I cried for about twenty minutes the other night over a pair of shoes, then started crying again when my boyfriend was comforting me because it just felt so nice)
The hormonal shift seems to be crazy and I’ve been feeling very low a lot of the time, and very high and excited at other parts of the day.

I’m sorry I haven’t really given any practical advice but that’s been my experience at roughly the same pregnancy point as you. Hopefully it’ll get better for us both when the babies arrive.

Hello! 37 weeks here and feeling exactly the same! I just feel so emotional all the time. Last night my two DC were playing together really nicely and I just wanted to cry about it, so I did!! I feel the need to cry quite a lot without any particular reason.

I'm struggling with the energy to be honest. I'm so breathless and get tired so quickly I hate that I can't just get on and do things. I hope things calm down for you soon! I'm lucky, I have an induction booked in two weeks time so I know the end is near!
