I stocked up on size 1s. I went with the rough estimate of DCs birth weight based on the projections of my belly measurements during my third trimester on the growth chart. Turns out to be spot on for me this time. But it can be inaccurate as it depends on baby's position, mum's body shape, amount of amniotic fluid...etc.

But why do you think you need size 0? That's quite tiny, with an upper limit of 2.5kg that's preemie/small for gestational age type babies. Babies that small, chances are your midwife/consultant would've noticed by 3rd trimester and sent you off for a scan.

I guess no harm just buying one pack for now, if baby doesn't need it, you can always donate it to NICU/SCBU (baby unit).

Size 1

Size 0 is under 5lb which is quite a small, early baby. Full terms are average about 7 or 8lb
