So sorry for the photo but I just couldn't find a description for it 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sooo.. I'm 38 weeks on Thursday and is this my mucus plug? Or is it just discharge..

My mucus plug was unmistakeable. Plug shaped!

I've had this a few times and I'm not sure if it's just a lot of discharge or not 😬

Looks similar to mine, although mine came out in smaller glugs over a couple of days. My waters broke on the 3rd day. So might be, keep an eye out for other signs.

Mine started like that and then carried on, with more streaky pink/blood bits in.

It kept coming for hours, and was constant stringy/gunge. I couldn’t believe how much there was. So I wouldn’t say mine was just one ‘plug’ that came out at once.

I should say that my waters had already gone, and this started coming out once my contractions started (about 24 hours after my waters had gone).

Have you had discharge similar to that before? If not, it may well be. Mine started a bit like that and then kept on coming... It started coming out on Super Saturday of London 2012 with my first, I was convinced I’d have a baby within 24 hours but he wasn’t born until the Thursday. Keep an eye on it - look out for bleeding, waters leaking, foul smells or a temp/cold and flu type symptoms (and if so call the hospital) but otherwise keep active and make plans to Do Stuff the next few days and that’ll get baby moving Good luck!

Ah Thankyou for all your replies!! So last night and today I've got a sudden urge that I've needed to go the toilet a few times (no cramps) and Nothing happened.. yesterday morning and the day before I had soft stools so I don't know if this means anything or just constipation again🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ had no cramps just the odd shooting pain but not much, struggled on the school run for the first time today, had to stop a few times due to a stitch like pain when walking! Hopefully it's not long now 🤞🏼

I had this start about 3 weeks before I gave birth. Sorry OP, hope you don’t have to wait that long!
