Hi ladies,

I'm new to mumsnet so this is my first post! Smile

I've recently within the last week found out that I'm pregnant! To say I'm shocked is an understatement as we've been trying for 2 years and I was on a waiting list for a laparoscopy due to endometriosis..Shock.

Anyway, my question is.. when do you start to feel pregnant? I'm a worrier and because I've found out so early due to my periods being like clockwork, I'm only 5+1... and wanting all the symptoms to confirm that I actually am.

I have an early scan booked for 2 weeks time which will make me 7 weeks! Just so I can get some peace of mind that everything is ok. Daffodil

Any advice/help is greatly appreciated Grin

About six weeks I think. Also it may be worth having your scan when you think you are 8 weeks in case you’re not as far ahead as you think you are.

Oneandabean · 05/10/2020 17:23

I’m 23 weeks and aside from exhaustion and some kicks I don’t feel pregnant.
Also be aware that at 7 weeks you might not see much so might not be as reassuring as you’d hope. Might be better going at 8 weeks

At the end of 5 weeks my sickness kicked in and I've barely left my bed since, enjoy not feeling sick while it lasts! Grin

Congratulations! I felt pregnant before I tested positive only in that I didn't feel at all pre-menstrual. My boobs got angry in week 5, then the sickness started in week 6 & made my life rather miserable for a while!

Fruitloops34 · 05/10/2020 18:20

I was 5+3 the day my nausea started.
I’m 9+5 and I’ve had enough of it now, projectile vomited quite a few times but after a few weeks you start to know what works for you and what doesn’t.
Please enjoy it while you can...oh and congrats!

I never really felt pregnant like I expected. Some gas and bloating and tired but that’s about it. We had also been trying for a long while and had been referred for fertility treatment. I had honestly given up on us conceiving without help...and then it happened! I think because of that I’ve never really believed it. I had my scan today and still doesn’t feel real. Maybe once the bump starts appearing and I need maternity clothes then I will actually feel pregnant Smile

Honestly so relieved other people feel this way. I'm 15 weeks and honestly still can't my head around it or believe it. Doesn't feel real at all, don't feel any major changes apart from food aversions and tiredness but apart from that I feel totally normal and not pregnant even though I definitely am! x

I’m 30 weeks and I’ve only felt pregnant in the past 5-6 weeks.

LeopardLover · 05/10/2020 19:14

I'm 11 weeks and definitely don't feel pregnant - I think it'll take a proper bump forming. 😊

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/10/2020 22:07

I'm 6 weeks and dont feel it. Online says around 7 weeks, but note that some 3women just dont get symptoms and it doesnt mean anything is wrong

Turtleturtle81 · 06/10/2020 07:03

Around 25 weeks for me.

sarahc336 · 06/10/2020 07:09

About 6 weeks it always tends to kick off with me, both times literally over night my sickness has started xx

MichelleOR84 · 06/10/2020 08:12

I didn’t feel pregnant in my first trimester at all , just sick 🤢!

For my first pregnancy, after the 12 week scan was a huge milestone for me as that’s when I started telling people.

But I didn’t actually feel pregnant until I started showing and feeling baby kick regularly, so around 20-22 weeks .

With my second pregnancy I was full on showing by 12 weeks so that was a bit different. I definitely felt pregnant quicker .

JemimaTiggywinkle · 06/10/2020 08:17

I’m 14 weeks and still don’t feel pregnant, even though everything was fine at 12 week scan and we’ve told people.

I’ve had lots of sickness/symptoms etc, but it still doesn’t seem real that there’s an actual baby in there (even after seeing it during the scan).

Swimgirl83 · 06/10/2020 08:21

With my first, my nausea, sickness and exhaustion kicked in around 6 weeks (had literally said to my DH the night before that i was getting worried as I had no symptons!) but similar to above I think it was the 12 week scan and then around 25 weeks when kicks and rolls properly started to be felt that I 'felt' pregnant.

Just found out we're expecting number 2 (4w 3d atm) and definitely just feeling a bit bloated.

Bearcub01 · 06/10/2020 13:29

I’m 16 weeks and still don’t feel pregnant. Despite being very ill with hyperemisis and being admitted to hospital, I just feel really unwell. I’m desperate to get back to feeling my normal self but I forget I’m growing a baby! I probably won’t feel normal for a long time yet.

abitfunny · 06/10/2020 13:31

First baby I didn't feel pregnant at all until my bump grew bigger. Looking back it was a blissful pregnancy and I wish I enjoyed it more.

This time round pretty much straight away. Lots of nausea and food aversions. Disrupted sleep. Vivid dreams. Bad indigestion. I'm only 10 weeks!

threecatsandcounting · 06/10/2020 18:27

I'm 21 weeks and to be honest I don't feel pregnant. My husband even said to me today I don't seem pregnant! I have a bit of a bump and I've been feeling kicks etc but day to day I don't feel much different. I definitely felt pregnant weeks 6-14 because I had horrendous sickness and that made me "feel" pregnant but now everything has settled down I really don't feel much different to how I felt before I was pregnant minus the odd kicks and a bit of weight gain on my stomach.

I suffer with endometriosis and PCOS and never expected to be pregnant so I had all these ideas of what I thought being pregnant would feel like and in all honestly it's not been anything like!
