I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant and since about 30 weeks I've had a lot of cramps and twinges like I did as the first sign of labour with my first. It's obviously not been labour (well so far that is) but with my first I didn't have a single crampy feeling until the real thing. So ii was wondering s it common for braxton hicks to feel more crampy/thingy with your second/third etc or is it something I should be mentioning to the midwife?
It's going to make knowing when I'm truly in labour this time round a lot harder Confused thanks xx

Possibly Braxton Hicks. You will know when labour starts and as always if you're in pain call the hospital. Try to rest as well tho not as easy second time round. You're nearly there.

Thanks, yes they obviously have been braxton hicks as I've had them for 3 weeks and no baby Grin but was just wondering why in my second pregnancy they feel more like cramps where as with my first they just felt like a painless tightening, just wondered if it was actually common after your first pregnancy or not Smile xx

I cant really remember about the pains before but this is off topic but the AFTER PAINS omggg I barely had any with my first but after my second and third they were so painful! Could of swore i was about to push another baby out haha so if you get those it's OK its normal for them to get worse after each baby xx

Hahaha sorry!! Just letting you no so you don't worry when you get them 🤭🤭.. you may not get them as bad as me! But my friends and sister in law said theirs were worse after 2nd + babies too xx

@LayingLow it kinda makes sense as after a second or third baby your uterus will be even more stretched so probably more cramps required to shrink it back down, I do actually appreciate the heads up as I wouldn't have even thought about it 😂
