No line progression and spotting, any hope?

Hi ladies,

I had a mmc in March and my first bod since on Wednesday. From Thursday until today I’ve had light spotting, never anything in my pants but almost always when I wipe, pinkish rather than red. I’ve taken tests every morning and afternoon since and am currently 15dpo and they don’t seem to be developing.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I think more than likely it’s a chemical but I’d appreciate anyone’s thoughts.

No line progression and spotting, any hope?

When is/was your period due? I didn’t get a strong positive until after my period should’ve ended, and I had implantation bleeding too xx

ScottishLassie91 · 03/10/2020 13:33

I think they look like they are developing? When I spoke with my gp as I had bad cramping he said only to worry if there was heavy red blood and pain x
Good luck 🥰 xx

Period usually comes 12 DPO so I’d say I’m about 2/3 days late. The progression was okay at first but I can’t really see any progression there from 13dpo! With my previous pregnancy they developed every day and I didn’t have any spotting/bleeding! It’s horrible, I feel like I’m totally in limbo Sad

Is it possible you ovulated a bit later?
I can definitely see progression 💜.
When I got mine, 11dpo was really faint, then 12fpo it was much clearer but there wasnt much difference between the 12 and 13 dpo but the line was still there.
I've heard that light spotting is normal as every pregnancy is different.
Fingers crossed for you OP xx

I don’t think so, I have an Ava bracelet and use opks so I’m pretty sure when I ovulated but maybe it wasn’t fertilised until a few days later.. I guess I’ll know for certain in a few days but I’m definitely going to try to manage my expectations xx

The hormone doubles every 48-72 hours so it’s not likely to get stronger every day more likely every few days. If it’s light spotting it’s likely to be implantation bleeding. I know it’s hard but try not to worry too much, the tests aren’t an accurate way to measure hcg increases and often cause more stress than reassurance

LavenderHoneybee · 03/10/2020 19:42

I can see line progression there. Agree with what @Oneandabean just said. I had implantation spotting as well just to reassure you.

Spinksy9 · 04/10/2020 18:55

I'd stop testing everyday, hormones double ever 48/72 hours. So you won't see any progression tedting too regularly
Take a step back, relax and re test in 48 hours x

ShalomToYouJackie · 04/10/2020 19:45

You won't see line progression if you're testing twice a day. In the afternoon your urine will be more concentrated so there's no point testing then. Test every 48 hours as that's when your HCG goes up.

@DNAshelicase STEP AWAY FROM THE FRERS!

I've been where you are and I totally understand needing the confirmation. But, those tests are a "pregnant" or "not pregnant" test, not "how pregnant?" - the shade of the line doesn't tell you anything useful. I had a horrendous 48 hours where I thought the lines were getting fainter, but actually it was fine and DD is currently fighting sleep upstairs!

The thing is, it might be a chemical pregnancy. And that will be heartbreaking for you. But, it might be fine! Those tests look good to me!Either way, stop torturing yourself - and congratulations! Thanks

DNAshelicase · 04/10/2020 20:05

Thank you all, faint test this morning and the bleeding has started. Hopefully some day we will get our much wanted baby xx

Ahhhh I'm so sorry, @DNAshelicase - it looked promising Sad

I know you had a MMC in March - have you been TTC for a long time?

LavenderHoneybee · 04/10/2020 20:27

So very sorry to read this @DNAshelicase. Those lines were stronger than anything I had on a FRER and I too had implantation spotting. I wish I could say something more encouraging to you. Flowers
