Tiny yolk sac should I expect the worse?

Had a scan today and there was a small gestational sac and a tiny yolk sac, I mean tiny it was only just noticeable! I don't actually know how many weeks i am because my cycles have been very confusing. I thought I would maybe be around 8 weeks but the scan didn't suggest this. Has anyone experienced this and if you have photos please could you share I need to put my mind at ease

Did they give you the measurement of the yolk sac? It's normally an enlarged told sac that indicates a problem.

If you're unsure of your cycles you could just be really early.

Have they asked you back for a rescan in a week or 2?

Yeah in two weeks, I don't think it will be good news though

@Nimsay1 I just re checked my scan picture and on one it's got the measurement of the yolk sac and it says 0.6mm ?

Please try not to worry. I know it sounds easy to say and it's hard not to worry. You could just be very early and dates may not add up especially if your cycles have been messed up. Did they say anything about the size?

She said that it's very small and that to her the size may indicate a failing pregnancy but will have to re scan to be sure
