Hey
I'm 39 weeks and a day. This is my first pregnancy and over the last week or so I've been getting period type pains in my lower tummy and back and occasionally down my legs, happening more frequently and has now been constant for last 2 days, just wondering if this is the baby's head engaging?
Also i'm getting really quite anxious about the labour itself, any tips on keeping calm???

Glad to have some energy to be honest. Ended up with pleurisy at 31 weeks which really hurts, thought it was pregnancy discomfort and whinged about not being able to do this etc after spending weeks doing the 'I love my bump' bit. Turned out to be the grotty bug so I parked myself on the sofa for weeks and now can move yippee or should I say ugh. Just realised I am going to have to put everything away again! Wanted baby to come all week, then changed my mind last night as I decided the house was too dirty for anyone to visit let alone babysit my other 3 horrors so started scrubbing floors, suppose this is nesting. Much prefer the get the cleaners in approach, going wrong somewhere!

Things definitely starting to happen, had a bit of a show, still practising those contraction things. Come out to play baby!

Any news on MB?

I have decided I am not pregnant but it's an accumulation of all the cream apple turnovers I have been stuffing lately (ooh apple turnovers...) Managed to put the cupboards back together, took 12 hours, have had Braxtons for 24 non stop upset tummy for a seeming eternity yesterday which slowed down the cupboard sorting process, (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it) and still nothing!! So no baby bump just apple turnover bump! Ugh

How's everyone? x

I've had my beautiful baby

She was born at 12.25 on Saturday after what seemed like a very long and excruciatingly painful labour (but I think it was probably actually quite a normal labour!). She's 7lb 10oz and she's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I'm totally exhausted and I feel like I've been hit by a lorry but I'm still over the moon.

good luck to everyone who's still waiting...
