Covid in the Workplace whilst pregnant

Hi,
I am 24 weeks pregnant, due January 2021.
I work in clinical trials and have just learnt that we will be working with positive covid patients.
Where do I stand on rights as a pregnant woman to not come into contact with patients, especially those with positive covod symptoms. Not only the contact of the patients but the members of staff working with this trial. Do I have the right to demand to work from home? Will I be expected to start my maternity early? I really don't want to take any risks but also want my workplace to offer safe and fair alternatives. What would anyone else do in my situation? Or has anyone experienced similar?

Sorry I don't have much advice to offer @VictoriaFrogz91 but didn't wanna read and run - if I were you I'd get in touch with citizens advice 👍🏻 they'll be able to help you out.
I'm pretty sure (not certain) your workplace can't put you at any risk and would have to find an alternative way for you to work, maybe in another area away from the risk or put you on leave (and I would imagine, at their cost too, as it wouldn't be your fault that you couldn't work).

What did the risk assessment say that your employer did when you informed them you are pregnant?

Your manager should have done a pregnancy risk assessment and also a covid one. Have a look on your trust intranet and see if you can find a copy.
