Can a pregnancy survive if you have low progesterone?

I had my progesterone levels measured as I'm high risk and they said they are very low 17 so unlikely the pregnancy will survive. I'm early 5 weeks I think

Has anyone any experience of this? I'm waiting for the next set of results and very scared

Hi
Sorry to hear your going thru this.. unfortunately pregnancy cannot survive with low progesterone.. you can get some pesseries to insert until your 12 weeks pregnant

Good luck 🙏🏼

I got my hospital/go to prescribe them and collected them from chemist but you may be able to go buy them from Asda chemist x

The hospital that is doing your tests should be able to prescribe Cyclogest pessaries for you - they are commonly used with IVF as natural progesterone doesn't kick in till the placenta is established with IVF.
