I think I’m going to ask for the GTT test as I have a few of the symptoms of GD - I’m thirsty 24/7 and apparently thrush is also a sign... sorry tmi. My midwife is useless she never answers the phone I’ve met her one and now it’s a different midwife at each appointment, can I ring the antenatal unit and book it in myself? Xx

I never saw a midwife, just the nurse at my GP. She said I measured big and though I had no symptoms booked me in. After that I saw the team most weeks (turned out I am actually type 1). I imagine you need a referral so I'd call your GP and ask them.

Thanks x I'm going to call the GP tomorrow and go via them, they're really good normally whereas the midwife doesn't answer the phone or call back so I'll be waiting until I see them next in 2 weeks at my 31 week appointment and I can have it resolved by then xx
