Hi all,

Just a quick question regarding the above really. I am currently on insulin for GDM. I just wondered whether anyone else would share their experiences with regards to their delivery and whether you made it to your due date if you were on insulin?

Thank you!

Hi, i was taking insulin and was induced at 38weeks, he came 2 days later. Was a natural birth and weighed 9lb 1oz

Hi, I was taking insulin and induced at 37+0 due to estimated fetal weight being low and low amniotic fluid. She's a healthy 3 year old now

My 4th baby and 2nd GD pregnancy was insulin controlled at night. I ended up being induced because scans were showing slowed growth. I had, had previous low birth weight babies and failed placenta so seemed the right choice.

Induced at 38+2 with pessary but 30 hours later nothing. However I was 6 cms dilated so had a sweep, contractions started immediately, baby born 1.5 hours later. Natural, active birth with a little monitoring. Weighed 6lbs exactly and was my biggest baby.

Has GD with my youngest who is now 2 and was induced 37+6 due to reduced movements metformin and insulin. 23+3 with GD again and will be induced at 38 weeks due to metformin but will be earlier if reduced movements or something shows up in a growth scan ie placenta or weight problems x
