I am looking for some advise as i am so confused and stressed at the moment.
on Sunday i noticed that my baby girl was not moving much and her movement, when she did move were not very strong. so on Monday I phone the midwife unit and they told me to come in to be monitored I was hooked up to the machine twice and sent for a scan were they said the blood flow and heart beat was fine but I still had to go in on Tuesday for a growth scan which was fine and she growing fine. and I was discharged. they said to come back if the movements change. and i told them they have that is why I came in. anyway long story short i have been feeling her move but her movements are still not strong and feel weak like they were on Sunday . I have felt her move today but just small movements and I used to get big jolts from her. has anyone experienced anything similar to this I thought 30 week was when babies movements were meant to be the strongest. I would be so grateful for some advise and something to put my mind at ease. I just don't understand why her movements are not as strong as they were

OP go back as many times as you need to. Trust me, they absolutely want to see you if you are worried and they won't turn you away.
There are lots of reasons for this and some are perfectly ok and some are not. The only way to be sure is with monitoring.
Most likely everything is fine but I went in three times for monitoring because I was worried things weren't right and they never once made me feel like I shouldn't be there
Thanksx

I would phone the midwife again and get yourself checked.

Luxembourgmama · 24/09/2020 19:33

Do go back to check but in the meantime try drinking coke or eating sweets that used to wake my baby up.

Foreverbaffled · 24/09/2020 19:34

Just keep going back if you need to. I’m 30 weeks too and totally empathise. Go every time you need to x

Yes, call them again. Do it now.

bowerino · 24/09/2020 19:36

Not in my pregnancy, but my SIL had this happen during her recent one. The baby had just rotated so it's movements were inwards and she could feel them less. Baby eventually moved round and went back to normal

LavenderHoneybee · 24/09/2020 19:36

Yes I have had this. Currently 35 weeks with baby no 3. If you feel at all concerned please call the maternity department at your hospital. I have to monitor movements constantly due to gestational diabetes and small for gestational age baby and have been in and monitored a few times. Baby's movements are a sign of their wellbeing. I am always told I'm never wasting time, no matter how many times I am seen. My little one has busy days and quiet days, but I know what's normal for him. You know in your gut what is normal for your baby. All the best Flowers

Keep calling when you have concerns and don't wait to do it! Trust your instinct

As others have said - it's usually fine but always call for a check - that's what they're there for!!! Tell them the movements are significantly reduced over the last week.
An ice cream and cold drink used to wake my baby up in about 5 mins.
Never feel bad about wanting a check!!! Smile

I'm 30 weeks and have just had a few days of the same thing. Turns out the baby had moved position and I couldn't feel it as much. Back to normal movements now

mumsofboys · 24/09/2020 19:54

Never hesitate to go back.
Did you ask the position of baby? Like was she forward facing and now facing the back so the kicks are in your back so you feel them less?
Where is your placenta placed?

None of these are reason by the way defo get checked if you're worried but just wondered

NikkiD89 · 24/09/2020 19:56

thanks everyone i don't no if i need to go in as i said i am still feeling her move just not as strong and they have just done a growth scan and everything was normal they have booked me in for another growth scan on the 8th of oct and they said they need to wait a bit to see if she has grown.

I'm 30 weeks and my movements often change for a few days depending on what position the baby's in. I also went in the first time it happened and as soon as they put the Doppler on baby did a great big kick that hit the midwife's hand Hmm

mumsofboys · 24/09/2020 21:42

It's is hard to know when to go in but do what's best for you. Mother instinct!
