Hi everyone,

I am new here.
Have been on progesterone pessaries since 7 weeks pregnant and desperately waiting for my dating scan on Monday next week.

I have been having loss of symptoms recently (had nausea, fatigue and sore breasts, but that has simmered down now) and seeing yellow/brownish discharge on my pantyliner.
Suffered a MMC in April this year, so I am on edge and constantly worried that baby's HB has stopped and I just do not know it yet.

I have not been bleeding, nor getting any abnormal cramps, so I thought I could skip a trip to A&E...but as Monday is coming and my heart rate is cranking up with worry.

Can anyone give me reassurance please :(

I don't have any personal experiences to share but from what I have read, what you are experiencing can be completely normal. You have all my best wishes for Monday

bloomety · 24/09/2020 15:19

Oh I wouldn't be able to wait til Monday. If I were you I'd ring the midwife and ask for an urgent scan. Explain your circumstances. My MW was great with me when I was anxious, she arranged a scan the next day for me.

PurplePansy05 · 24/09/2020 15:20

OP, I had two MMCs and an early MC. I can tell you that in both MMCs I had the "right" symptoms till the end and it made no sense in theory that the pregnancy wasn't progressing well. On the other hand, lots of my friends had good, symptomless pregnancies, uneventful. So please don't focus on that as this really isn't a sign one way or another. I know how you're feeling, I've been there. Focus on getting through one day at a time until your booking scan Flowers xx

PurplePansy05 · 24/09/2020 15:23

If you're really struggling call your MW but I doubt they'd offer you a scan now due to covid restrictions and you don't have any symptoms of MC either. It would be unusual to have an NHS scan in your situation, one prior MC does not warrant that either. I expect you'd be more likely to have to have a private scan if you feel you really cannot wait few more days xx

Thank you everyone!
I tried ringing the hospital to no avail Confused

I guess I need to calm down and hope for the best...
I will message on Monday to update, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers Flowers

I will do. Best of luck and I'm sure you'll be fine. My symptoms came and went with my DS. I never had any sickness at all, just sore boobs and they were only sore for a few weeks.

Would you book a private scan?

reimah · 24/09/2020 18:29

Hi @bloomety

Thank you, my symptoms came and went in waves, but the nausea dying down was a big concern for me.
I would have had a private scan earlier, but the paranoia struck yesterday and I did not want to have any more transvaginal scans.

Desperately counting down the days!!!

@reimah
Definitely talk to the MW about anxiety.
I also had a loss in december and now 12w5.
So i know the paranoia when it just strikes it's so hard to stay calm and carry on... but there is nothing wrong from what you described.
Literally went through the exact same phase at some point. Symptoms lessened had two tiny orangy bits of discharge and my brain went bonkers with mmc and all that.
I had my 12w scan yesterday and baby is perfect. So really unless you are bleeding or having bad cramps just try to keep your mind busy with something. For me was starting a new show and binge watch.
I know the wait is unbearable. But your scan u
Is soon and right now hospital won't be able to do much for you...
Trust your body (easier said than done i know!!)

Hi OP, just want you to know that you are not on your own, ive had 2 healthy babys (both pregnancies very different) and have also had a MMC. With my MMC from day 1 I just knew something was up compared to my healthy pregnancys! I am now currently 8 weeks pregnant, found out few days before period was due as I was so sick, boobs hurt, exhausted, the lot. Last Sunday I woke up symptom free and its worried me sick. I have a private scan Saturday so I will let you know how it goes. But everything I have read has said it can be completely normal, especially for you at 11 weeks as the placenta would have taken over. I hope your ok and good luck at your scan Flowers

roro87 · 24/09/2020 19:54

Hi OP, I had the discharge and my symptoms did start to ease around 10 weeks. I was in a group with people at the same number of weeks and a number of them also mentioned the same thing. obviously can't say for certain everything is fine but I did experience similar and am now nearly 31 weeks.
