Hi everyone, as the title says really my baby is small growing under the 10th centile, I've been into maternity triage with reduced feral movements 2 out of 3 days this week. Baby movements have dramatically slowed down. I came back in last night after 3 episodes of losing some brown substance which they think Maury be an old bleed, I'm also having irregular tightenings, they admitted me and gave me steroid injections due to have the next one any time now. They have scheduled me for a scan at 3.30 today but it's only been just over a week since the last one. I've also had 2 dodgy ctg traces which didn't meet the Dawes redman criteria I was on for an hour both times but registrar says it's on the low side of normal. WhT do you think they will do? Anyone been in a similar situation??
Thanks in advance for any replies xx

How far along are you OP?

Changethetoner · 24/09/2020 14:46

If they've given you steroids, it's likely they're considering delivering the baby early, as these are to help with the baby's lung function (which will be needed once it is born).

They normally give steroids if they are anticipating delivery within the next 7 days, how far along are you?

Hi. I'm currently having weekly growth scans as also measuring under the 10th centile. I'm 27+2 weeks. The only thing that's been mentioned is that they will get and get me to 36 weeks and then it'll be a possible induction and yes steroids will be given for babies lungs if they are planning on inducing you. Hugs to you xx

Just to update you all baby was delivered on Friday morning by emergency c section. He was in distress and heart rate was dipping. Turns out his chord was wrapped around his neck! Please please don't ignore loss of movements and don't let anyone make you feel like you're over reacting! My story could have been very different!!!! Xx
