How much weight gain is okay during pregnancy?

I'm 21+1 and weighed myself this morning for the first time since the beginning of my pregnancy and i've gained 5lbs already. Is this a lot? I know that from this point onwards they say roughly 1lb per week but should I have already gained 5lbs before this?!

I try my best to eat healthy but some days I have no appetite and some days I'm just constantly hungry haha!

I last saw my midwife at 16 weeks and won't see her for another 5 weeks now so I can't ask her (she's impossible to get ahold of on the phone).

That sounds like nothing to me but I am a bit of a chubber ☺️ my midwife said approx 2 stone across pregnancy is fine. The recommended amount you put on does depend on your starting weight though too. I honestly wouldn’t worry at your stage. 5lb is nothing.

I was told around 4lbs in first trimester and then 1lb a week from 2nd trimester. So your fine. I haven’t put anything on at all yet, that worries me more
