Worried about baby growth

Hi all,

I had my 34 week midwife appointment today. Frustratingly the midwife plotted the growth incorrectly. I didn't notice at the time and luckily my husband was having a look through the notes when we got home and spotted it. The midwife was adamant she had got it right until he emailed her photos of the chart.

I've got a scan booked for Thursday but I'm a bit worried about why it has dipped and whether there's a problem.

I'm wondering how common it is that the chart shows a dip and whether it's accurate

How many weeks are you measuring behind? I think it’s very hit and miss with the tape measure measurements it’s like son open to human error and the only true way to know if baby is growing well is from a scan. The likelihood is that baby is growing at the right rate but if not, they may send you for fortnightly growth scans to monitor what’s going on x

I’m 34 weeks and my baby is a little bit small from extra growth scans I’ve been having- the consultant has been clear with me that he’s not massively worried because scans have error margins of at least 10% either way so can imagine error margin for bump measurements in relation to actual foetal growth is even more?
