Hi ladies,

Has anyone else been given one of these? I was given one to take by doctor yesterday who just told me to insert as normal. I done it last night but have since been told you should never do this it should always been done with the finger only.

I have since googled and am panicking now every source says you should never use the applicator when pregnant. I've got bad lower back pain since inserting it too. Can it really damage the cervix or baby?

I also read that you shouldn’t use the applicator when pregnant, however when my Doctor prescribed me pessaries a couple of weeks ago, she never said anything about not using the applicator. So if I hadn’t already read about it online beforehand, I would have just followed the instructions in the box and used the applicator. If it’s genuinely a risk to use the applicator then they should say something!
