5-6 weeks pregnant & SO bloated

Is anyone else feeling the same? I’m fully aware I’m not showing and the baby isn’t even the size of a pea yet but my stomach is permanently bloated and I am SO gassy. I bought a pair of size 12 jeans today and couldn’t even do them up which has put me a in foul mood and my trusty oversized denim shorts won’t touch me either.

Is this normal? I suffer with IBS so I’m used to bloating but I feel permanently wobbly and bloated on my stomach all the time!

I was the same as you! I always had bad bloating and gas (sorry if TMI!) with my IBS and in early pregnancy it was one of the worst symptoms, I was so bloated and in absolute agony around eating! It got better at around 9-10ish weeks for me, which is around where I felt better for the most part!

Hope this helps!

I was the same, at my 8 week booking in appointment the midwife thought I was at least 6 months. She said bloating is very common and would go away after a few weeks but 21 weeks now and still bloated as well as a baby bump.

Thanks ladies, helps to know I’m not alone! Literally as soon as I’ve eaten I blow up like a balloon and my indigestion is so bad! Hope it passes with time x
