Pregnant after ectopic.. pain on tubeless side

Hi

I'm nearly 5 weeks pregnant after an ectopic and tube removal last year but I'm getting twinges and discomfort on the side with no tube

I'm terrified it's another ectopic but I don't think there is anything left there. I have read that you can be unlucky enough to get it again in what is left but I'm hoping beyond hope that's not it

Just wondered what else could be causing the discomfort?

Any experiences / reassurances would be welcomed thanks!

I've got an early scan booked in a week or so but they can't do anything before then as won't see anything anyway

I feel pregnant 11 weeks after a tube removal following an ectopic pregnancy. I also experienced pains on my tubeless side. For me this didn't amount to anything and I am now 16 weeks pregnant and the baby is most definitely in the right place.
Congratulations on your pregnancy x

My tube got left as they had me wait in hospital for the ectopic to pass - this was over 10 years ago and I do sometimes get pain on that side even now (a doctor once said it might be as I ovulate on that side) obvs your not ovulating but maybe the scar tissue is sensitive and your womb will be growing?

Thanks @Elsie2211 and congrats
And sorry to hear of your experiences

I am so scared it's another one. Do you know if you can get the injection rather than the surgery if you are 6 weeks?

Thanks @2andahalfpints

I hope so

In most ectopic tube removals a stump is left behind so it is possible to have an ectopic in what's left but I'd say it's just everything stretching etc and pushing on old scar tissue from the operation x

Update

Had a scan today they couldn't see anything in uterus

But also couldn't see anything that would indicate ectopic

Had bloods and will have more sat to see what is going on
