Hi I am due to have acupuncture on Tuesday for horrible morning sickness. Does anyone have any experience of using acupuncture for morning sickness and if so was it effective? Thanks in advance for replying Smile

Bumping for you as I haven’t had that particular problem.

Acupuncture is great for most things and I always recommend it for people who want a non-pills type solution to illness.

I’m sure it will help you. And it can help with other things too. Good luck OP.

@QwertyBert

I’ve not had it but I’d be interested to hear how it goes for you. I’ve not been able to leave the house in weeks.
Thank you. I will let you know what happens and how it goes.

Had this at 3 months with my first child as someone suggested it. For second child I had the acupuncture as soon as I knew I was pregnant. It worked amazingly well both times. Had 3 sessions for both. Hope it work for you!!

Did the acupuncture with your second solve your sickness or just make it easier to deal with?

The nausea had just started with my second so I had the acupuncture very early on. I still had slight nausea but not the full on one from the first time and hardly any sickness.
The way I saw it was it had little or no side effects so was very low risk.
It is the only times I have ever had acupuncture!!

Hi @QwertyBert I had my acupuncture today and while the nausea needs more work because I suffer from acid reflux I definitely feel more energised and have managed to get half a sandwich, two sticks of cucumber and some water inside me without feeling too nauseous. I would recommend it. I can definitely face going back to work tomorrow which I couldn't yesterday (I'm part time - work W, Th and F).
